Having been teaching the Pilates method since 2010, Michaela is certified in The New York Pilates Studio® Teacher Certification program for Authentic Pilates Exercise™ by Sean P. Gallagher, PT Director, one of the highest distinctions in the Pilates world.
She underwent intensive training in California for a month directly with her teacher and mentor, Darien Gold.
Qualified as a therapist in 2019, her sessions are reimbursed by health insurance.
An accomplished athlete who has practiced several sports such as karate, swimming, and athletics, she fell in love with the Pilates method during a stay in Paris.
She therefore became interested in this discipline and put it into practice for herself. After many years of regular practice, she went to the United States to perfect her knowledge and obtain validation of her certification in the Pilates method.
With this certification in hand, she decided to open her own Pilates studio in Geneva and while practicing the classical Pilates method, she specialized in the field of pathologies and injuries. At the same time, she continued her Pilates training with world-renowned teachers, some of whom work in the health field and others with a background as classical dancers. Eternally passionate, she continues to train regularly both in the United States and in Europe in order to offer cutting-edge Pilates classes to meet the demands and needs of her clients as closely as possible.
Demanding of herself as well as her students, she teaches the Pilates method with passion, paying close attention to detail so that her clients can better assimilate this technique, which aims to develop a healthy mind in a healthy body. This teaching is carried out in accordance with strict rules and within the framework of a freely chosen discipline.
Most of Michaela’s patients come to her with specific needs, such as eliminating pain or feelings of discomfort, or simply feeling better about themselves.
Michaela’s experience allows her to quickly identify each individual’s needs and personalize Pilates methods to maximize the chances of success. Many people are unfamiliar with Pilates and assume it’s just simple exercises. During the first sessions, which are crucial, participants are surprised by the intensity of the commitment required of them and quickly notice the beneficial effects on their daily activities, which become easier. Ultimately, these students discover that Pilates classes are an integral part of their daily lives.
